As NJ Transit takes over troubled RiverLine, senator invites officials to talk to riders
A day after NJ Transit votes on actions to formally take over operation of the troubled RiverLine, State Sen. Troy Singleton, D-Burlington, and NJ Transit CEO Kris Kolluri will hold a meeting with light rail riders Thursday evening.
The meeting, to address RiverLine “service reliability, accountability, communication and safety,” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Palmyra Community Center, 30 West Broad St. in Palmyra, which is walking distance of the light rail station.
Thursday’s meeting is being held after NJ Transit announced on Sept. 3 that it was taking over operation of the RiverLine from Alstom, the current contractor.
