Bordentown's State Legislators Collecting New, Unwrapped Gifts for Toys for Tots
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Planning on doing some holiday shopping? Consider purchasing a gift for the Toys for Tots drive and dropping it off at one of Bordentown's state representatives' District Offices.
The District 7 legislators — Senator Troy Singleton, Assemblyman Herb Conaway and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy — are collecting new, unwrapped toys to benefit Burlington County Toys for Tots now through Friday, December 13.
Toys can be dropped off between 9AM and 5PM, Monday through Friday, at any of the three District Offices:
- Senator Troy Singleton: 400 North Church Street, Ste. 260, Moorestown
- Assemblyman Herb Conaway: Delran Professional Center, 8008 Route 130 North, Ste. 450, Delran
- Assemblywoman Carol Murphy: 750 Centerton Road, Mount Laurel
“Toys for Tots is a program that has been assisting families in need during the holidays for generations. This year, our local Burlington County program informed us the need is very great, and they could use our assistance,” said Senator Singleton (D-Burlington). “We are answering the call for help, and hoping the community will join us, so that children in need will have a joyful holiday.” The Senator also added that last year, the Burlington County Toys for Tots program assisted more than 70,000 local families.
“Toys for Tots is a great organization that has been around for decades, thanks to the Marines,” said Assemblyman Conaway (D-Burlington). “This organization exemplifies what it means for a community to come together and help those in need, specifically children who are now given that ray of hope for the future.”
“The holiday season can be especially difficult for families facing financial hardships,” said Assemblywoman Murphy (D-Burlington). “Our goal is to ease the burden and help ensure the children in our community are able to experience the magic of the holidays no matter what.”
Burlington County families who need assistance from the Burlington County Toys for Tots program can apply now through November 15 by accessing an application HERE.
