For NJ kids’ safety, app stores need accountability — and a national standard

As back-to-school season is in full swing, I have been reflecting on my time with my five kids — including my oldest, who’s gearing up for college — and I’m reminded how deeply technology is woven into their lives. From collaborative school apps to video games and social platforms, their days revolve around screens. As someone who works in tech, I understand the value of digital tools — but even I find it overwhelming to keep up with every download, update and privacy setting.
