Hispanic Heritage Month

It’s Hispanic Heritage Month, an important time to recognize the contributions of New Jersey’s Hispanic community, which accounts for over 20% of our total population.

Locally, I celebrated by attending Servicios Latinos de Burlington County’s annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration!

From the entertainment - live singing, dancing, music and more – to the delicious food and energetic audience, this festival did not disappoint!

Housing is a Human Right

This week, I helped kick off the Governor’s Conference on Housing and Economic Development in Atlantic City. While on a legislative panel, I discussed how housing is a key component to reducing poverty, increasing economic mobility, and helping families build generational wealth.

23 years later...

Twenty-three years ago today, on September 11, 2001, America was under attack. None of us will ever forget where we were that day as we watched the events unfold on TV, or listened to the news reports on the radio. But, more importantly, we must never forget those who died that day, and the families they left behind.

Back to School!

We’ve had a busy few weeks collecting school supplies, distributing backpacks, and providing free haircuts to kids in Burlington County so they can start the school year off prepared, ready to learn, and with confidence.

Improving Public Safety in Riverline Communities

This week, I joined with Burlington County Sheriff James Kostoplis, Burlington County Police Chiefs Association and the Burlington County Commissioners to announce a new partnership that will improve public safety, deter crime, and assist local police departments up and down the RiverLine communities.
