Addressing The Rent Crisis Head-On
Rents across New Jersey are rising faster than families can keep up with. Last week, as Chairman of the Community & Urban Affairs Committee, we advanced a package of bills to make rent more affordable, strengthen tenant protections, and provide tax relief for renters.
From cracking down on rent-setting algorithms to expanding tax credits and protecting seniors and residents with disabilities, this legislation takes real steps to address the rent crisis and bring fairness to the rental market. Housing affordability is directly tied to economic stability and when over 1/3 of our population rents their home, we must make rent affordability a priority. Read more here:
