This Black History Month, we should reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who paved the way, and those whose shoulders we stand upon, so future generations can dream bigger and go further. 

As we honor the trailblazers who came before us, we also recommit ourselves to shaping a future worthy of their sacrifices, which were often made while facing injustices. Here in Burlington County, our history runs deep, and our contributions are abundant - from the Underground Railroad routes that passed through our communities to generations of local leaders, activists, educators, and veterans who helped shape our county and our state.
