Bordentown Township Gives Residents Preview of Upcoming Splash Park
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ — Residents have a chance to get a sneak peek at a long-awaited amenity coming to Bordentown Township this summer.
The Township last month released a video on its social media channels with simulated renderings of the Splash Park that is slated to be completed in June at Joseph Lawrence Park.
Township officials announced plans for the park in July 2025 with help from $200,000 in state aid secured for the project by State Senator Troy Singleton, Assemblywoman Carol Murphy and Assemblyman Balvir Singh. The splash pad promises to be a “fun, safe and inclusive recreational space for kids and families to enjoy,” said Singleton.
With the state funds, the Township began final design work and site preparations for the splash pad. A previously-installed independent well that irrigates the sports fields will supply water for the splash pad, which will ensure that the water connection will not affect water pressure or availability for residents supplied by the Bordentown City Water Department.
Bordentown Township officials said that the splash pad will bring families together and provide kids with a safe and fun way to cool off during the warmer months.
“This project is about more than just water features; it's about investing in the kind of spaces that bring us together," said Committeman Eric Holliday, who served as Bordentown Township Mayor when the project was announced last summer.
“A splash pad might seem like a small thing, but to our families, it's everything. It's laughter, it's connection, it's cooling off after a long day. This is a big win for Bordentown.”
