Burlington County Farmers Market Voted Top 5 in the Nation Again

MOORESTOWN – The Burlington County Farmers Market is among the 5 best farmers markets in the nation for a second consecutive year!

The County market finished No. 5 in the final voting tally for the best farmers market in this year’s national USA Today 10BEST Readers Awards poll. It competed against 19 other markets from across America in the national contest.

The top vote-recipient was the West Palm Beach Green Market in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“The Burlington County Farmers Market has grown to become one of our county’s most popular destinations and one of our biggest success stories,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Dr. Felicia Hopson. “Our farmers market routinely attracts thousands of shoppers from across the county and region, and we are thrilled it has once again been crowned one of the very best of its kind in America.”

“Top 5 in the nation is an honor that few destinations can claim and we are grateful for everyone who took the time to vote for our market and help it earn this recognition,” added Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel, the liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation and Parks. “It is more than just bragging rights. The attention our market receives also shines a spotlight on the farms, agri-businesses, artists and vendors who use the weekly market as an important source of revenue. It does a lot to help our local businesses grow and thrive, so we appreciate all the support from voters.”

The 10 Best Readers Awards is organized by USA Today each year and crowns the best food and entertainment outlets in several different categories. Twenty finalists for best farmers market were selected by an expert panel, and the winners were determined by an online poll with daily voting from mid-March through April 13.

This year was the second time the Burlington County Farmers Market competed as a finalist in the online poll. It finished No. 4 in the nation in 2025.

In 2024, the market was crowned the No. 1 farmers market in New Jersey during the American Farmland Trust’s annual poll. This year, the market and its home – the Burlington County Agricultural Center – was also selected to receive a Voice of Business Award from the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce for economic development.

Now celebrating its 20th season, the County’s market is held weekly on Saturdays at the Burlington County Agricultural Center at 500 Centerton Road, Moorestown, from spring through late November.

This year’s season started in March with preseason market days. The final pre-season market will be held this Saturday, April 25, from 10 AM to 1 PM.

The regular season of weekly Saturday markets kicks off on Saturday, May 9, with the traditional Opening Day/Spring Garden Theme Market from 8:30 PM to 1 PM. Subsequent markets will be held the same hours every Saturday, rain or shine through Nov. 14th.

“The Burlington County Farmers Market deserves the national acclaim and continues to wow shoppers with its blend of scenery, atmosphere and farmers and artisans offering locally grown fruit, vegetables, prepared foods and crafts,” said Commissioner Randy Brolo. “Whether you’re a market regular or newcomer, make sure to visit this Saturday and see why it was voted one of America’s best.”
