State representatives in New Jersey's 7th Legislative District are hosting a holiday toy drive to benefit the Toys for Tots program in Burlington County.

The legislators will be collecting new, unwrapped children's toys now through Dec. 10. Gifts can be dropped off at any of their three district offices between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The drop-off locations for toy donations are:

  • Senator Troy Singleton's Office, 400 North Church Street, Suite 260, Moorestown
  • Assemblyman Herb Conaway's Office, Delran Professional Center, 8008 Route 130 North, Building C, Suite 450, Delran
  • Assemblywoman Carol Murphy's Office, 504 Route 130 North, Suite 100, Cinnaminson

"Toys for Tots is a program that has been assisting families in need during the holidays for generations. This year, our local Burlington County program informed us the need is very great, and they could use our assistance," Singleton said. "We are answering the call for help, and hoping the community will join us, so that children in need will have a joyful holiday."

"Toys for Tots is a great organization that has been around for decades, thanks to the Marines," Conaway said. "This organization exemplifies what it means for a community to come together and help those in need, specifically children who are now given that ray of hope for the future."

"The holiday season can be especially difficult for families facing financial hardships," Murphy said. "Our goal is to ease the burden and help ensure the children in our community are able to experience the magic of the holidays no matter what."

The Toys for Tots drive is the latest collection hosted by the legislators during 2021. Other community collections included socks for the homeless, children's books for Book Smiles, supplies for Providence House domestic violence shelter, backpacks and school supplies, Operation Yellow Ribbon items, and Thanksgiving and Easter food items.
