Burlington County Opens Housing Hub To Address Needs Of Homeless
The county’s new Housing Hub opened Tuesday inside the Burlington County Human Services Building on Woodland Road and will serve as a single “point of entry” for residents who are either already homeless or experiencing housing problems.
WESTAMPTON — Burlington County’s homeless and those who are at risk of losing their housing now have a single destination to go for help.
The county’s new Housing Hub opened Tuesday inside the Burlington County Human Services Building on Woodland Road and will serve as a single “point of entry” for residents.
“This is a huge leap forward for Burlington County and our fight to eliminate homelessness,” Freeholder Felicia Hopson said during a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the hub space, which includes offices for the hub’s director and social workers and a conference room where residents can meet with representatives from other county agencies and community service providers.
Volunteers from those providers will help staff the hub during weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After hours, residents in need of help can still call 211 for referrals.
