As we commemorate our nation’s 250th Anniversary this year, we celebrate a nation born of rebellion and resilience, passion and perseverance, courage and compassion. 

For 250 years, America has remained an ongoing experiment in democracy --imperfect, yet always worth striving to strengthen and protect. As we reflect on the ideals that inspired our nation’s founding, let us recommit ourselves to them today.

It is our responsibility to ensure that the words we pledge allegiance to are more than just words—that they reflect the better angels of our character and are visible in our actions every day. 

Over the next few weeks there are many 250th events happening in our communities. In fact, this weekend, I’ll be walking in the Riverside 250th Parade, and stopping by the Delanco 250th Celebration – hope to see you there!
