Earth Week is upon us, so last weekend, I joined more than 50 volunteers for a Delaware River shoreline and riverbank clean-up in Riverton and Palmyra! 

Together, our volunteers, Riverton Environmental Commission and Green Team, and so many others, collected dozens and dozens of bags of trash, plastic bottles, electronics, and so much more. Let’s continue to give our time and energy to environmental stewardship all year round, not just around Earth Day. Even the smallest action – such as picking up a water bottle while you’re out for a walk – is impactful. It is one less piece of trash that could end up in our waterways, breaking down into microplastics, and ultimately ending up in our drinking water. We can all play a part.
