Gov Murphy Signed Lisa’s Law!

This week, we celebrated a victory more than a decade in the making. It has been a LOONG journey to see this bill, Lisa’s Law, finally become law.

It has been a LOONG journey to see this bill, Lisa’s Law, finally become law - one that started with my dear friend, the late Assemblyman Ronald Dancer. With Lisa's Law - named after Letizia "Lisa" Zindell, who was murdered by her abuser in 2009 after he was released from jail for violating a restraining order - we can now give domestic violence survivors some peace of mind. Lisa’s Law establishes a 4-year pilot program in Ocean County (where Lisa was from) to electronically monitor certain domestic violence offenders. Thank you to everyone who continued to advocate in Lisa’s memory and honor so that this bi-partisan bill could get across the finish line.
