As many families gather for the long Memorial Day Weekend and the unofficial start of summer, let us also take time to honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the Americans who gave their lives in service to our country. 

Their dedication on battlefields, at home and abroad, helped secure the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today. Memorial Day calls on all of us to remember not only their service, but also our shared responsibility to build a nation worthy of their sacrifice. This weekend, I’ll be reflecting on that meaning while attending ceremonies in Mount Laurel, Wrightstown, Delanco, Moorestown, and Bordentown Township.
