It’s time to fix this NJ Transit light rail line, state leader says, after service changes are announced

Riding NJ Transit’s River Line light rail system has become little less convenient, due to service reductions that started close to a month ago and caught the attention of a ranking state senator.

The schedule changes that took place on Aug. 23 temporarily reduced the frequency of service from trains every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes during the morning and afternoon commuter rush periods on weekdays. Saturday service also was changed to a different Sunday-holiday schedule.
