Motor Vehicle Commission's Mobile Unit Coming to Bordentown Township
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP, NJ — Senator Troy Singleton, Assemblyman Herb Conaway and Assemblywoman Carol Murphy are bringing the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) straight to you in October.
The three legislators have organized the MVC Mobile Unit to operate at the Bordentown Township Senior Center on Saturday, October 2 from 10AM to 2PM.
“We know how difficult and frustrating it has been for drivers to schedule appointments at the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission,” said Senator Singleton. “That is why we decided to bring the mobile MVC back to our district for a third time to deliver the services that the drivers in our communities want, need, and deserve.”
Drivers can take care of a plethora of motor vehicle issues at the "agency on wheels", including:
- Driver's license renewals/duplicates
- Driver's license name/address change
- Real ID (if license expires within 6 months)
- Veterans license designation placards
- Registration renewals/duplicates
- Boat endorsements
- Non-driver ID cards
- Voter and organ donor registration
- License plate drop-off
- Examination permits
“I have heard from some of our constituents that they are still having residual issues getting appointments with motor vehicles, especially for Real ID’s,” said Assemblyman Conaway. “By hosting these mobile units with MVC, we are working to make the appointment process a little more convenient for our residents.”
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, the NJMVC continued to provide essential services to the residents of New Jersey,” said Assemblywoman Murphy. “We are grateful to the agency and their workers for coming to District 7 for a third time to provide these much-needed services to our residents.”
The Mobile Unit can serve up to 50 people, but registration is required. To register, call Senator Singleton's office at (856) 234-2790 or e-mail his office at [email protected].
Singleton, Conaway and Murphy have brought the MVC Mobile Unit to locations around the 7th Legislative District in the past, and it's always a popular event — so be sure to register as soon as possible!
The Bordentown Township Senior Center is located at 3 Municipal Drive.
