NJ Public Schools Are Ranked Second Best In The Nation
A majority of U.S. families depend on public education to educate their children, and with the Every Student Succeeds Act shaping curriculums WalletHub.com conducted a study to determine where the states rank in best schools.
According to the report, WalletHub’s analysis took a more comprehensive approach and accounted for performance, funding, safety, class size and instructor credentials and compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 29 key metrics.
With a total score of 64.78, New Jersey ranked in as the second best school system across America.
Here is how New Jersey ranked in some of the categories:
- 2nd – Lowest dropout rate
- 3rd – Math test scores
- 3rd – Reading test scores
- 4th – Median ACT score
- 11th – Percentage of threatened/injured high school students
- 14th – Percentage of Licensed/Certified public K–12 teachers
Massachusetts ranked in first with a score of 67.85.
