Black History Month is a reflection of our nation's great motto: “Out of many, one.” 

In fact, there is no American history without the African-American contribution.

So as we celebrate this month and frankly celebrate African American contributions every day, let us recommit ourselves to the ideal that out of many, we are one.

One nation, under God, indivisible.

Our version of the American Dream may have different shades, but we are still one nation.
