River LINE Update - Progress Made Thanks To You!
Last week’s River LINE Community Meeting was another important step in our ongoing effort to ensure NJ Transit is delivering a transit system that our residents can rely upon.
NJT CEO Kris Kolluri and his team came prepared to detail the progress that was made since our last meeting in the areas of pedestrian and public safety, communication and reliability. So what did we hear? We heard RESULTS based on the concerns YOU raised at our meeting last fall! I am pleased that many improvements have been made, but there is still more work to be done, especially when it comes to fare checks, security, cleanliness, and communication via the NJ Transit app.
Thank you to everyone who attended - including mayors, councilmembers, law enforcement, residents, business owners and riders - your collective advocacy and commitment to improving the River LINE is appreciated! You showed up, spoke up, and we didn’t let up on holding NJ Transit accountable! Your persistence, your voice, and your advocacy has made a real difference. I am hopeful that this renewed dedication to SJ’s mass transit continues.
