Senator Singleton Partnering With Cinnaminson Relay For Life For September "Serve With Singleton" Event

CINNAMINSON, NJ – For his September “Serve with Senator Singleton” project, State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with the American Cancer Society to assist with their Cinnaminson Relay for Life event. The service event will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Cinnaminson High School, located at 1197 Riverton Road, and volunteers are being asked to help from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m.

Each month, Senator Singleton crowd-sources a team of volunteers to help with a particular community service project. For this event, the Senator is seeking volunteers to help with setting up various aspects of the event. Anyone interested in volunteering can sign up here:

“We are fortunate to be partnering for a fifth time with the American Cancer Society for their Relay for Life event in Cinnaminson,” says Singleton, who represents the town as part of the 7th Legislative District. "Cancer is a disease that affects so many individuals and families each year, so it is an honor to lend a helping hand once again to this organization which tirelessly dedicates their time and resources to find a cure.”

The Relay for Life service project will be the Senator’s 56th “Serve with Senator Singleton” event since becoming State Senator in 2018. Previous volunteer efforts include: indoor and outdoor clean-up days, animal welfare projects, clothing and supply drives, painting projects, gleaning efforts, and community event set-up and staffing. To date, more than 2,200 hours have been donated by volunteers to local community service projects.

The American Cancer Society is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Their mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight to a world without cancer. For years, they have been the front-runners in the community’s fight to eliminate cancer and raise awareness.
