MOORESTOWN, NJ - In honor of Father’s Day in June, State Senator Troy Singleton will partner with UIH Family Partners to provide hands-on assistance with their Dress2Impress program, which is a part of their workforce and job development initiatives. The “Serve with Singleton” event will be held on Saturday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. the UIH Satellite Office – Tabernacle Baptist Church, 150 E. Second Street in Burlington.

The Senator and a group of volunteers will help with the assortment and organization of clothing that has been donated to UIH, along with performing other miscellaneous tasks. Space is limited but anyone who is interested in volunteering can sign-up on the Senator’s website: http://www.senatorsingleton.com/uih_family_partners

“With Father’s Day around the corner, it is a privilege to be able to give back to the fathers, grandfathers, uncles and all other father-figures who have impacted our lives.” said Singleton, who represents part of Burlington County in the 7th Legislative District. “By aiding the UIH, which provides training and tools for men to be strong and active fathers to their children, we are propelling their efforts while supporting families here in Burlington County.”

UIH Family Partners serves more than 1,500 fathers a year in helping them love, mentor, and support their children financially and emotionally. Their services include work readiness, job search and employment retention assistance; parenting education, computer literacy training, and HSE preparation; and anger, stress and time management.

This will be Senator Singleton’s 6th “Serve with Singleton” event since becoming a State Senator in January of 2018. Previous efforts included: renovation of the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store, a clean-up day at Jacob’s Chapel Ministry Center, painting two Community Options homes, a clean-up day at Strawbridge Lake and a spring cleaning at Providence House.
