Serve with Senator Singleton at Pennington Park to “Beat the Bug”

For our March service event, we will partner with the Burlington County Parks System to “Beat the Bug” on “Scraping Saturday.” Scraping Saturday is when volunteers are asked to help find and destroy invasive, non-native Spotted Lanternfly eggs on trees, before they hatch in May.

Volunteers will be given a scraping card, zipper lock bag, and hand sanitizer to scrape, collect and destroy the eggs. We will be on walking paths in the park so it is recommended that volunteers wear long pants and shoes appropriate for this event. Work gloves are optional. Face masks are required.

This event will be held at Pennington Park, 801 Creek Road, Delanco on Saturday, March 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volunteers should meet in the main parking lot by the playground.

Space is limited to 25 volunteers so RSVP today!
