Singleton Highlights $250K In Budget For City Of Beverly

Trenton – In an effort to provide further support to local law enforcement agencies, Senator Troy Singleton highlighted $250,000 in funding that will be awarded to the City of Beverly in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget for public safety upgrades.

“Police officers perform a vital role in our communities, and it is critical that our police departments are supported and adequately funded,” said Senator Troy Singleton (D-Burlington), who sponsored a budget resolution for the $250,000 in funding. “Currently, Beverly’s police vehicles are costly to maintain due to their constant use. Therefore, this funding will add additional vehicles to their fleet, as well as help upgrade their video systems. I was proud to advocate for and support Beverly’s request for these funds.”

The appropriation, spearheaded by Senator Singleton, will be used to support upgrades to police video systems and the purchase of brand-new police patrol vehicles for the Beverly City Police Department.
