Singleton Partnering with Malamut Law, Philadelphia Union for Used Sports Equipment Drive
MOORESTOWN, NJ — State Senator Troy Singleton is partnering with Malamut Law and the Philadelphia Union to collect unwanted kids' sports equipment for an area non-profit.
The three are collecting items to benefit Leveling the Playing Field (LPF), which was founded in 2013 in response to the growing inequity between those that can afford to play sports and those that cannot, and the prominent role the cost of sporting goods was playing in that gap. LPF is essentially a "food bank for sports equipment" and re-distributes equipment to expand access and equity within youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities.
Singleton, Malamut Law and the Union are collecting new & gently used sporting equipment now through June 12 at the following locations:
- Office of Senator Troy Singleton: 400 North Church Street, Ste. 260, Moorestown, NJ
- Malamut Law: 457 Haddonfield Road, Ste. 500, Cherry Hill, NJ
- The Union Stadium: 1 Stadium Drive, Chester, PA
Equipment from the following sports are especially wanted: baseball, softball, basketball, football, golf, hockey, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer and volleyball. Playground and fitness equipment are also being collected. A full list of accepted donations can be found HERE.
