Stockton University To Host Cannabis Career Fair

New Jersey may not have adult use cannabis, but the ancillary and medical markets are growing like weeds.

To staff the budding industry, Stockton University will host a cannabis career fair and business expo on Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The vendor area, where cannabis businesses can advertise and sell their legal products, will be free and open to the public. Vendors interested in participating can register for $300 by phone through the Stockton University Office of Continuing Studies by Aug. 28. The OCS can be reached at (609) 652-4227.

Employers looking to staff their cannabis companies will have the opportunity to meet potential job candidates and to host speed interviews. Employer registration is $150.

The event is co-sponsored by the New Jersey Cannabusiness Association and will feature workshops and speakers, including New York Giants Super Bowl champion and medical cannabis company Community Greenhouse LLC Co-founder Amani Toomer; Sen. Troy Singleton, D-7th District; NJCBA President Scott Rudder; and executive director of the Coalition for Medical Marijuana in New Jersey Ken Wolski.

Workshops, which haven’t been announced yet, will be $25 to attend. Attendees can register through the NJCBA. College students with valid ID can attend for free.
