Supporting Burlco's Farming Community

There is no food without our farmers and here in Burlington County, we are incredibly fortunate to be home to so many hardworking men and women who keep that tradition alive every single day.  Over the past week, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand just how strong and vibrant our agricultural community truly is.

I was proud to attend the New Jersey Agricultural Society Gala, which helps support efforts like fighting hunger across our state. It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many individuals dedicated to ensuring fresh, healthy food reaches those who need it most. I also visited the Wainwright's Clover Valley Farm pop-up market, “Farm on the Point” in Southampton Township, where their pasture-raised products come straight from their local farm to your table. Lastly, I got to enjoy one of my favorite weekend pastimes and stopped by the preseason opening day of the award-winning Burlington County Farmers Market in Moorestown.
Burlington County’s agricultural heritage is something we should all be proud of, but it only thrives when we support it. I encourage everyone to shop local, visit a farmers market, and thank a farmer for the work they do to keep our communities fed.
