Juneteenth is a poignant reminder of the collective progress we have made since our nation's original sin of slavery officially ended, and the work that still remains in order to achieve an equal and just society. 

I celebrated Juneteenth last weekend at Timbuctoo in Westampton, and will attend Willingboro’s event this Saturday at Mill Creek Park.

I hope to see you there, and that together, we can continue the legacy of faith, hope and perseverance.
