Volunteers Sought to Lay Wreaths at Beverly National Cemetery for the Holidays
BEVERLY, NJ — State Senator Troy Singleton is seeking volunteers from the community to help honor late veterans this holiday season.
Singleton is partnering with Wreaths Across America for his December “Serve with Senator Singleton” community service event at the Beverly National Cemetery, located at 916 Bridgeboro Road in Beverly, on Saturday, December 14 from 11:45AM to 1:30PM.
Singleton and volunteers will be laying Wreaths Across America lay wreaths on the graves of those laid to rest at the Cemetery.
Those interested in signing up to volunteer can register HERE.
Wreaths Across America’s mission is to remember fallen veterans, honoring those who serve, and to teach children the value of freedom. Their mission lasts all year long, in order to show veterans and their families that they will never be forgotten.
Wreaths Across America is also seeking wreath donations for graves at Beverly National Cemetery. Wreaths are $17 each and can be purchased HERE.
“It is fitting that we are once again partnering with Wreaths Across America for our December community service project,” said Senator Troy Singleton. “This organization’s mission to honor fallen veterans, especially during the holiday season, is incredibly meaningful and impactful. Whether through volunteering your time, or donating a wreath, you too can show your appreciation for those who sacrificed so much for our freedoms.”
The December 14 project will be the Senator’s 68th “Serve with Senator Singleton” event since becoming State Senator in 2018. Previous volunteer efforts include indoor and outdoor clean-up days, animal welfare projects, clothing and supply drives, painting projects, and community event set-up and staffing.
To date, more than 2,500 hours have been donated by volunteers to local community service projects.
