Governor Murphy Signs Legislation Appropriating $20 Million To The Special Needs Housing Trust Fund
TRENTON – Today, Governor Murphy signed legislation (S1255/ A1925) which creates a $20 million transfer to the Special Needs Housing Trust Fund in the Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (HMFA). The Special Needs Housing Trust Fund provides capital financing to create supportive housing and community residences for individuals living with special needs.

Trenton – In response to the state’s deadly opioid epidemic, yesterday the Senate passed five bills which would increase access to opioid antidotes and provide support for those struggling with addiction.
Bills To Update Domestic Violence Laws, Procedures Pass Judiciary Committee
TRENTON – In an effort to update and reform the state’s domestic violence laws, procedures and policies, the Senate Judiciary Committee released an expansive package of bills sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, and Senator Troy Singleton. In addition to bringing more uniformity to existing procedures, the bills would also require new domestic violence training regimens to be followed by law enforcement, some county prosecutors as well as certain judges and judicial personnel.
