Trenton – A Senate committee today approved a bill sponsored by Senate President Steve Sweeney and Senator Troy Singleton that would help schools and small businesses in New Jersey upgrade their water and ventilation systems to better protect the health of students, educators, customers and workers.
NJCPA Supports Legislation That Provides Tax Fairness To Cannabis Businesses
ROSELAND, N.J. – We are pleased to announce our support for legislation (S3240) introduced on Dec. 10 by Senator Troy Singleton (D-7) that would decouple cannabis businesses in New Jersey from Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 280E. New Jersey currently follows this federal rule which prohibits cannabis businesses from deducting business expenses.

Trenton – In an effort to protect the rights of LGBTQI seniors in long-term care facilities, the Senate passed legislation sponsored by Senators Troy Singleton, Vin Gopal and Richard Codey that would prohibit the discrimination of these residents in their facilities.
