New Community Solar Farm Built On Closed Delanco Landfill

Another first for the state — a community solar project built on a closed landfill in Delanco, Burlington County. Once it starts operating, the solar farm will power up to 700 homes in Burlington, Camden and Mercer counties with clean energy. According to the developer, Soltage, just over half of its subscribers are low- to moderate-income residents and will save about $120 a year on their electric bills, with a guarantee of those savings for up to 20 years.

Governor Murphy Signs Legislation To Protect Animals From Trunk Fighting

TRENTON – Today, Governor Phil Murphy signed S975 into law to prohibit animal trunk fighting in New Jersey. Trunk fighting is defined as two or more animals fighting each other that could lead to possible death(s). With this new law, those who are in violation will be subject to a third-degree animal cruelty felony and/or fined up to $5,000 for each offense.
